Lately

Phew. What a whirlwind this past week has been. On Monday I started a new job. Unsurprisingly it’s been overwhelming, intimidating, exciting and inspiring all at the same time. I’ve been spending lots of time going out bonding with my new colleagues instead of cooking dinner and as a result right now I feel a bit like a kindergartener – too shattered by the new routine and long days to contemplate getting out of bed (the Sydney rain isn’t helping). Rather than share my latest recipe with you (it involved pasta, a tin of tuna and frozen peas – I promise it really isn’t worthy of a post) here are some links I hope you’ll love.
When I was in high school The OC was the hottest thing going, well I thought so anyway (my dear friend Amy once went on a trip to the US brought me back a photo of Adam Brody. Clearly, I had a crush…). If you feel like a blast from the past, these portraits of Adam Brody are gorgeous.
10 of the best nail polish colours around (I especially love Jade is the New Black).
The cast members of Downton Abbey cover One Direction.
I recently stumbled on a new blog called The Little Loaf and I want to make just about everything she features. I’d kill for a few sticky toffee cupcakes right now.
Madewell is killing it right now (why oh why don’t they ship to Australia?!!). I’m lusting after most of it, especially this romper.
Regardless of your political views, this is a fascinating article about the capture of Osama bin Laden and the treatment of military veterans upon their return to civilian life.
On a lighter note, I’m loving Jake Bugg right now, especially Two Fingers.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone. I hope this week is good to you. Xo

Wooo!!!! New job!!! This is exciting. I always find new jobs seem impossible at first (so much to learn) and then after a month or so it’s not so tricky.
That recipe sounds worth posting to me! My Mum put me onto anchovies, tin of tomatoes, herbs and olives with pasta. Delicious!
I love a good lot of links. Last year, I watched some episodes of the OC (for a flashback), and it was so funny without meaning to be!

Thanks Hope!! New jobs are definitely scary to begin with (SO much to learn!) but it’s the best feeling when you start to get the hang of things a couple of months in. Your mum’s pasta sounds awesome – the perfect pantry dinner! Xo
